Hispanic, Latino/a/e/x leaders cultivating connections and building community through a restorative and skill-building experience
El Encuentro de Líderes Aventureros invitó a líderes y miembros de Latinos Aventuras en las Carolinas al Centro de Aprendizaje Científico de las Tierras Altas Apalaches en Purchase Knob, en el Parque Nacional Great Smoky Mountains. Del 2 al 4 de septiembre de 2023, el encuentro exploró la estrategia organizativas, brindará conexiones, habilidades de liderazgo y capacitación en Primeros Auxilios en áreas silvestres y RCP, así como capacitación en conservación, incluyendo construcción y mantenimiento de senderos. En poco más de un año, Latinos Aventuras (LA) ha creció hasta contar con más de 1000 personas interesadas en conectarse a través de excursiones y eventos al aire libre. Liderando más de 90 eventos en su primer año, esta comunidad ama aventurarse al aire libre y tiene la visión de incluir, crear, explorar e informar a todas las culturas.
The Líderes Aventureros Summit invited leaders and members of Latinos Aventuras en las Carolinas to the Appalachian Highlands Science Learning Center in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. On September 2-4, 2023, the Summit explored organizational strategy, provide connections, leadership skills, and Wilderness First Aid training, as well as stewardship training including trail construction and maintenance. In just over a year, Latinos Aventureros (LA) grew to a membership of over 1000 people interested in connecting through hikes and events in the outdoors. Leading over 90 events in its first year, this community loves to venture outdoors, and has a vision to include, create, explore and inform all cultures.
